samuel starts soccer!

well a first has occurred in the williams family: one of our kids is playing an organized sport!  i was a little leery of samuel starting soccer this fall but kyle thought it would be a good idea so we signed up!  and i have to say samuel LOVES it!  he really loves the practice, the game, his "soccer buddies", the uniform with chin guard socks and of course the totally cool soccer cleats!

his first practice:

daddy got samuel some "long underwear" like what he has and samuel LOVES them!

first game...GO HEAT!
(the following pics are from my phone because i can't find the camera cord to upload the many pics i took during the game...i'll get to that soon!)

cousin luke is playing soccer too but he is on a different team...he played right after us so we got to cheer him on for part of his game...GO LUKE!
i'll try to find that cord so i can update more soccer pics as well as fourth of july and the river trip from the summer!!! :)

REL v JT

TYLER LEE 39 John Tyler 30

if you are from tyler you know the importance of this hometown rivalry. so kyle, samuel, michael & walker freeman headed out to cheer on the raiders.

a group shot before the game (benjamin wanted to pose with all the guys)
walker & samuel before the game (when your pawpaw is the O-line coach and your daddy has an "athletic pass" then you get to spend the WHOLE game on the side-lines!)

having fun with the babies (charlotte & benjamin). benjamin and i got to spend the evening with amy, laura, charlotte and lindsay & maggie gillen

the boys on the side lines watching the REL guys warm up for the second half

i LOVE this next picture. the little guys with the BIG football players. these are two of kyle's "guys" and they are always so sweet to samuel. after the game they took time to take a pic with these little future ball players. i think that was the icing on the cake for walker and samuel! (even though samuel looks a little shocked) and i better add this was about 10:30 at night! both boys fell asleep on the way home. it was a good time had by all!

twins....update & praise!

hello,

we went to the doctor thursday for a "big" sonogram. we immediately saw two sacs with two healthy babies...YAY! praise the lord! (there was a concern that they were sharing one sac from our previous visit.) there are also two placentas right next to eachother. it was so fun to look at them in the womb. one of them had the hiccups! their heartrates were 144 & 161.
we were so relieved when we left our appt. we go back in 3 weeks for a standard visit...hoping to find out their genders then!?

i'm thankful today...

this is just a quick post to say i am so very thankful for my husband...i am not writing this to be braggy because i know there are a lot of really amazing husbands out there that do soooo much for their own family but my husband gave me the best gift ever yesterday....he did ALL of the laundry! i know it's doesn't sound glamorous but it was something i was struggling with and dreading and having a hard time completing! some of it's due to my current "state" but a lot of it is just putting it off. i am soooo very thankful that he washed/ dried/ folded/ put away over 8 loads of laundry in one day. seriously...i know you moms know what a blessing it is to have all of the laundry done. i mean when is it every all done!? i just wanted to give him a shout-out and to tell you how thankful i am for him especially today!

oh and just a quick pic of the "art area" i created for the kids this weekend:

*disregard the unorganized toy shelves :)

it's a very small dent in the areas i want to finish around the house but because my sister, carrie, helped me clean up a bit and organize i was able to get this one area finished. next project: mud room bench/ hooks/ magnetic chalk board...this area is directly left of the the art area.
