Thomas Andrew & Henry Michael

after 38 long weeks we got to meet our sweet baby boys:
Baby A- Thomas Andrew and Baby B- Henry Michael
stats:  Born February 28, 2012; Thomas 7 lbs 3 oz and 20" and Henry 7 lbs 5 oz and 20 1/4"

i would have loved to carry them to 40 weeks and i know i could have (i wasn't even dilated or effaced AT ALL when i delivered) but i was sooooo miserably swollen...i mean bad! and my blood pressure was just starting to rise.  see the following pics for proof!

i am in pain just looking at those pics! (side note: just to give you perspective....i lost 38 pounds in the first 6 days after the twins were born and 50 pounds by 2 weeks! that is A LOT of fluid!) i actually had a dangerously low blood count and had to be given fluid and i think that also caused me to hold on to fluid.

ok so now that those are out of the way....meet our precious baby boys!  (i'll just pick a few out of the hundreds of pictures we took!)- well i need to get on kyle's computer to add more pictures...i have some priceless ones of the big brothers meeting their babies- i'll try to do that asap and another disclaimer....trying to rotate pics and i can't figure it out!

pretty identical looking...we were really shocked that they are identical since i have twin brothers. we kept their hospital bracelets on for 2 weeks until i could tell them apart!  we might do blood work one day to confirm but for now we are pretty darn sure they are identical. :)

also in the hospital before we had names (since it took us 2 days to name them!) thomas was "squares" and henry was "stripes" (nurses labeled their tags in the bassinet) and we always put thomas on left in pics and henry on right unless they have something monogrammed on.  otherwise you can not tell who is who.

best friends! (see kate's post about these precious babies!)

Going home!

i'll add more later...hopefully! :)

twins....update & praise!

hello,

we went to the doctor thursday for a "big" sonogram. we immediately saw two sacs with two healthy babies...YAY! praise the lord! (there was a concern that they were sharing one sac from our previous visit.) there are also two placentas right next to eachother. it was so fun to look at them in the womb. one of them had the hiccups! their heartrates were 144 & 161.
we were so relieved when we left our appt. we go back in 3 weeks for a standard visit...hoping to find out their genders then!?

we're pregnant...with TWINS!

yep...twins! we went for our standard, first OB appt at 10 weeks and were shocked and excited to find two wiggly babies in there. we literally couldn't believe it! we go back in two weeks for a "big" sonogram so that the dr can see better what's going on in there. she couldn't find a separating membrane so we are anxious to go back and see things more clearly and see our growing babies. we feel overwhelmed with blessings!
