a couple weeks ago we went to mckinney to visit our great friends, the hulls. they moved there last summer and we had not been to their new house. as you can see from most of our pics we ate and swam! you can also see our chuy's creamy jalapeno dip making from this post.

we love hanging with audra, libby and chip.

the boys loved playing together and played the ENTIRE time we were there without one argument or disagreement. it was wonderful!

weekend get-away to dallas

after michael's graduation our family went to dallas for a little get-away. we wanted to do some shopping but also something fun. we had a wonderful time just "playing it by ear" and hanging out with our boys. we didn't tell any of our dallas friends or family (sorry guys!) because we kind of planned last minute and it was fun to just do whatever whenever.

our first stop: the dallas world aquarium. we had a blast at the aquarium..it was fabulous! samuel loved it and it kept benjamin entertained. they had a great gift shop where we got some neat books and "swim creatures."

ahhhh the mountains!

benjamin and i got back from colorado springs monday. we went for a "girls" cousin & aunt trip. it was plagued with a nasty stomach bug but other than that we had a wonderful time with aunt joy, catherine, richard, connor, gloria, mom and carrie.

the weather was very nice...40's at night and 70's & 80's during the day. we enjoyed relaxing on the deck looking out at aunt joy's beautiful yard and garden- complete with a pumpkin patch, watched many, many episodes of the tudor's (i can't stop thinking about what henry VIII will do next or if he will get his divorce to queen catherine....ahhh the drama!), ate lots of delicious chinese food thanks to richard's family owning a chinese food restaurant, strolled the streets of old colorado city in which i got a great black, leather bag for $19 on sale at this cute boutique!, toured garden of the gods two times (one at 7 am to see the sun rise and make the rocks glow- amazing), had fun eating a buffalo burger at the trading post, stuffing ourselves at a yummy brunch at the sunbird restaurant that looks over the mountains & the city and finally shopping in manitou springs with the hippies!
