benjamin (a rough day- sept 17)

this picture cracks me up....first of all look at the belly....he has had that since he was born! but just for my records and his baby book i wanted to list out his ailments and injuries at this moment:  bruised face from hitting the coffee table, badly busted lip (inside and out), 10-12 ant bites/ blisters on his left leg and foot (of which he didn't even cry), a bad cold with snotty nose so he is coated in vicks and his first sunburn from samuel's soccer game that day.  is he not a punkin' though!?

samuel's class visits the fire station

samuel's class at school visited fire station #2.  since grandaddy used to work at station #2 we invited him to join us!  it was fun for the kids to see the truck, tour the station and talk to the firemen.  of course when your grandaddy is a retired firemen samuel has done this all before (a couple of times) but i think samuel understood a lot more since he's four and the firemen talked to them about fire safety at home.  benjamin joined too!

cowboys game

kyle and i were lucky enough to score free tickets to the home opener of the dallas cowboys....his boss gave us 2 of his season tickets with a parking pass.  i seriously don't think i could have walked all the way if we didn't have such good parking.  we really got the hook-ups...close parking, suite entrance which meant no lines and second row seats.  it was so fun for us to get away and have a date.  neither one of us had been to the new stadium so that was a treat too.  here are a couple of pics from my iphone:

last week we went to the east texas state fair and had a blast!  samuel loves to ride rides, see the cows, eat and drink the food and see friends.  we had so much fun!
