LPS thanksgiving feast

so clearly i am a little behind on some of my posts but i was busy enjoying the thanksgiving festivities and hanging out with our family.   the week before thanksgiving samuel's school had a feast and a little program.  samuel decided he didn't really want to sing.  (his teacher told me after the performance that he was almost in tears when she told them to sing loudly.  this is funny because he is such a little ham at home)  it was a sweet little program and feast.

we're going on a leaf hunt

our dear friends, the goodmans, invited us to a leaf hunt.  we were so excited to see what mrs. kristin had planned for this!  she is super creative and always thinks of every detail. we had a blast with the other little boys reading the leaf hunt book, going on a leaf hunt, gathering leaves and doing leaf crafts.

if you are from tyler you know the importance of this hometown rivalry. so kyle, samuel, michael & walker freeman headed out to cheer on the raiders.

i LOVE this next picture. the little guys with the BIG football players. these are two of kyle's "guys" and they are always so sweet to samuel. after the game they took time to take a pic with these little future ball players. i think that was the icing on the cake for walker and samuel! (even though samuel looks a little shocked) and i better add this was about 10:30 at night! both boys fell asleep on the way home. it was a good time had by all!

table talk

so recently two different people whom i love are talking about and making tables. yes dining tables!

my long-time friend and college roommate, kelly, and her husband have just recently launched harp & co. their company features hand-crafted dining tables among other creative things like pillows and children's clothes. but not only do they offer some really good looking items they have a greater "mission" within their business. it's to provide a table for those who may not be able to afford one. check out their site: www.harpdesignco.com you can see what they have created and hear more about their hearts behind their new business.

i am so proud of them and can't wait to see how their business grows as they follow their dreams and god's calling on their lives!

now to my second table talk: my old sunday school teacher/ bible study mentor/ friend, leigh vickery, has recently started a blog called "one big happy table" and i just love it so far. of course everything leigh does is wonderful! she is one of the most sensitive, caring and talented people around. she started her own company called leigh oliver's...you can find her website here. she features homemade, natural food products starting with her own queso. her business has grown (and is still growing) from there.

anyway, when i saw that leigh started her blog and kelly launched her company website this last week i immediately thought of how both are similar in ways. they both put emphasis on spending time around the table as a family and the importance and lasting impact it has on your family. i hope you enjoy checking out their companies, their websites and getting to know them too!

a couple weeks ago we went to mckinney to visit our great friends, the hulls. they moved there last summer and we had not been to their new house. as you can see from most of our pics we ate and swam! you can also see our chuy's creamy jalapeno dip making from this post.

we love hanging with audra, libby and chip.

the boys loved playing together and played the ENTIRE time we were there without one argument or disagreement. it was wonderful!
