and finally our last christmas celebration...this was at my parents' house kind of spread out over christmas eve and christmas day. christmas eve night (unless we are celebrating with kyle's family) we go to my parents' house and have tamales and read "twas the night before christmas." this is one of our traditions that we did growing up and still do each year (even when there were no grandkids). geeps reads the story and as you can see it's hard to keep 4 little g-kids settled long enough to get the story out. little norah rose wasn't there yet.
kyle and little reindeer benjamin
geeps reading with the grandkids
the big kids
christmas morning
the kids waiting to see what santa and sugie & geeps brought! (including uncle andrew)
my sweet 2nd cousin audrey spent the month with us and she got a guitar from all of the great aunts (my mom and her sisters)...she was so excited and shocked that she cried! how precious!
samuel thought this was the coolest thing...a duck blind that you lay down in...of course if it has to do with uncle mikey then it's totally awesome!
jeb & taylor arrived
after my dad reads the christmas story we start to open gifts. which we try to do one at a time so everyone can see....it takes a while!!
mom, carrie (7 months preg) and dad
sweet little neely...benjamin kept bringing her toys
after christmas: samuel took norah rose on a jeep ride...yikes!
it was a wonderful christmas with various family in and out. i look forward to NOT being so pregnant next year...although we will have FOUR BOYS next christmas....oh my goodness...i can't even comprehend! :) we are blessed to have so much family to be around at the holidays and we realize that we have much to be thankful for.
